Telecare Services Association

Benefits of membership

This page outlines the main benefits of joining the TSA. Please download the full benefits of membership form which can be found at the end of the page for more information.

Member Forum Programme

Member Forums provide member organisations with the opportunity to meet regionally, to share best practice, influence the work of the Association, discuss trends in the telecare industry, debate Government Policy and how it impacts on the telecare industry and discuss common issues/concerns. To find out more follow this link: Member Forum Programme

Interoperability

TSA continues to champion the cause for interoperability of telecare technologies. Late in 2005 a working group of the manufacturers agreed an enhanced code structure to BS7369 which has been submitted to the British Standards Institute (BSI) for their approval and adoption.

Quality Standards

TSA makes a major contribution to quality in the sector through its Code of Practice. Now in three Parts, the Code is independently audited to provide a robust framework for telecare delivery across its end to end process:

Part One - Telecare Response Operational Requirements

Part Two - Telecare Installation Operational Requirements

Part Three - Mobile Response Operational

TSA provides guidance through the Code of Practice and the legislative environment within which Telecare fits.

Training Programme

TSA, with the assistance of Member Organisations, delivers an annual training programme to support the achievement of the Code of Practice.

Link Magazine

TSA produces a quarterly magazine 'The Link' which has a wide distribution. The Link is the vehicle for Member Organisations wishing to promote their service provision and provides a wealth of information on the legislative environment of telecare service delivery.
