Telecare Services Association

TSA Code of Practice Accreditation for Wrexham Care Call

27 August 2008

Congratulations to the team at Wrexham Care Call on receiving their Code of Practice Part 1 accreditation.

Since 1991, the nine strong Care Call team has provided call monitoring services in and around the Wrexham area for around 5,500 local people, many of whom live in isolated villages in the Clwyd countryside.

Jeanette Easton, the manager of Care Call, describes the TSA award as a tremendous boost and credits all members of the team for their hard work and commitment in securing the award.

Wrexham Care Call is the first call monitoring service in North Wales to receive a COP award and owes much of its success to a proactive programme of visits and talks to groups in all parts of the community.  Says Jeanette:  "We are always very happy to visit people to explain what telecare and Care Call can offer them.  We provide support and reassurance for people of all ages and offer a very flexible service.  Our oldest service user is 103 and our youngest is just 18 years of age."
